Advanced Security For Advanced Threats
An internal network security assessment is a simulated cyber attack on an organization's internal network, conducted by security professionals in order to identify vulnerabilities and assess the network's defences. The goal of an internal network penetration test is to identify weaknesses in the network that could be exploited by external attackers, and to recommend measures to improve the network's security.
During an internal network penetration test, the testers will attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the network in order to gain access to sensitive data or gain administrative network privileges. This can be done through a variety of methods, such as testing the network's defences against network attacks, trying to access the network through weak passwords, performing network poisoning attacks, and searching for vulnerabilities using both automated and manual techniques.
